Countdown!

Carlos and I have been busily preparing to leave for our mission. Carlos has built a greenhouse, purchased and built a foundation for a storage shed, fixed the underground sprinkler system and completely relandscaped the front yard. He has been working so hard. As for me, I have been concerned about how I will manage a wardrobe in Hong Kong. I have figured out that if I take 20 outfits I will wear each of them about 35 times. There is the main difference between men and women. He takes care of the land while I primp and stew over what to wear. I am so blessed to have him as my missionary companion. We have two weekends before we go to the MTC.  We have been on the phone with the missionary department making receiving some training and info about housing.   Our adventure will be a reality in just 12 days!

Welcome!

I wanted to start a blog to keep everyone updated on the happenings of our mission in Hong Kong-the countdown has begun--we report to the MTC on September 10, 2012, and fly to Hong Kong on the 21st!!  We have been called as Area Mental Health Advisors and will be providing support to the mission presidents of 10 different missions in 8 countries including Hong Kong, Mongolia, Cambodia, Taiwan, Thailand, India, Indonesia, and Singapore.

May the odds be ever in our favor!
